Child Account

How do I setup child email accounts?

  1. Open Outlook Express.

  2. Double click Control Panels folder to open it.


  3. Select Identities under Manage Identities under File.


  4. Click the New button.


  5. In the Type your name field, type in the email address of the child account you are setting up. i.e.. johnsmith@maplenet.net


  6. Click OK.


  7. Click Yes on the popup box that reads Do you want to switch to (the email address) now?

  8. The Internet Connection Wizard will popup.


  9. In Display Name Type in users full name.


  10. Click next.

  11. Type in the email address from step 5.


  12. Click next.


  13. In the Email Server Names screen set the following options:

    1. My Incoming Mail Server: POP3.
    2. Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) Server: mail.maplenet.net
    3. Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.maplenet.net

  14. Click next.


  15. The next screen will ask for account information. Type in the password for the email address from step 5.


  16. Click next.


  17. Click Finish.


  18. Repeat steps 2-17 for any additional email addresses you wish to setup.
